We do this not by asking for periodic donations or gifts, but rather through tying everyday occasions of joy to specific organizations that are in the field, assisting humanity.
Think of it: birthdays, anniversaries, showers, graduations, promotions, even corporate events… those of us who are blessed with the means to enjoy such occasions throughout the year. We host events for people we love, create memorable gatherings & celebrate life. What if each event was to create a little bit of joy for a child living in an orphanage or a young mother in a transitional home? The concept of sharing our joy with another human being, one less fortunate, is what célébrations is all about. In short, by having us design and fulfill your next event, you are supporting people that truly need our assistance.
célébrations can accomplish this by following three rules. First, we must fully investigate and qualify the groups we are supporting by looking for places that do not often get the attention they deserve. We are interested in building relationships so that we can monitor the impact of our giving and the progress of the people whose lives we are trying to improve. This must be done at a personal level, with direct human contact and involvement.
Second, we will contribute 5% of our profits to the aforementioned causes. By keeping our expenses low and working with people who share the same values we do allows us an ability to commit to a high percentage. Rather than mask our numbers or purpose through a non-profit entity, célébrations believes that sustainable giving can only occur where capitalism and caring converge: social capitalism. We neither ask for nor accept any cash donations; we are not the United Way, or Red Cross. Our mission is simply to generate a profitable business that can support important causes.
Lastly, we are all about building a community. As a célébrations client you are the center of this community & together with our people, vendors who support us, and the causes we support makeup the rest of this community. We will work hard to find worthy groups, great vendor partners, and like-minded people who can all contribute to making a difference; not by sending a check, but by building sustainable support.
